You can add your own categories to OnTrack quite easily. To do so, simply hit the Menu button from the OnTrack home screen, select the More option and hit Settings. From here scroll down to the bottom of the settings and select the Categories option.

From this screen you can add a category by pressing the Menu button on your phone and selecting the Add option. To delete an entry, simply do a long press (i.e. press your finger on the screen for a few seconds) on the desired item and release. A context menu will appear allowing you to delete the item. To modify a category, simply click the desired category.

Finally, you can also re-order categories by dragging and dropping them. To drag an item, hold the icon on the left of the desired category and drag the item up or down as desired.

To add your own medications, simply follow the steps above for categories but select Subtypes from the settings screen and then select the Entry Type (Glucose, Exercise, Medication, etc) for which to add the new type.

I want a particular category or subtype to be the default when adding a new entry, how do I do it?

To do this, simply edit the desired category or subtype and select the Default checkbox to make it the default item. Note that categories have more options in that you can control which category is the default by time of day. See the help for more information.

It's annoying to have to hit the menu button to bring up the Save option to save an entry, is there a faster way to do this?

Yes there is a faster way to do this. OnTrack supports the Android paradigm of doing an implicit save when the Back button on your phone is pressed. Thus once you have your entry filled out, simply press the Back button to automatically save it and return to the OnTrack home screen.
